Day 7-March31

Our final night in Paris.:( What a week it has been! This has been a wonderful trip, but as the saying goes.......all good things must come to an end! It has been a trip to remember. We started the day with breakfast at a nice cafe and then headed over to the Musee d'Orsay museum. We spent a few hours there looking over the beautiful art. From there we walked along the Seine River (which we do quite a bit) and looked at the sights one last time. We purchased some art work from a street vendor to bring back home. Then it was time for lunch - we went back to City Crepes one last time because this is something we won't be able to enjoy back home. My Dad went back to hotel for a bit while my mom and I did some shopping! I bought more perfum at a perfumery. Shopping in Paris is sooo much fun!!! Afterwards we met up with my Dad and walked over to the Luxemborg Gardens to spend some time. This is a beautiful park (somewhat like Central Park) with playgrounds, carousels, flower gardens, horse rides and cafes. The Park was filled with kids playing in the play areas and adults playing chess and others just walking around. We took some good pic's there. Finally, dinner which was my parent's choice at a Wine Bar called La Cremerie. This was an old dairy bar that was changed into a Wine Bar. It was alot of fun. We had a few things for dinner - the best mozzerella cheese ever, duck pate, grilled vegetables and a seafood spread with the best french bread to go along. I was the only one who had dessert which was a fresh cream with carmel sauce (like a panna cotta) - delicious!! Now we are back at hotel and it is 11pm Paris time and we are thinking about going back out so the night doesn't end! I hope you enjoyed reading my blog about a 12 year old in Paris. I will always remember my first trip to Europe and hopefully there will be many, many more!!!!!!!! Thanks for reading.

Emily from Paris :)

PS - Maybe I'll check in with you in the morning since we don't leave Paris until 6pm (Paris time). BTW - we didn't even realize we had a time change here over the weekend until Monday afternoon. We were only 5 hrs. ahead when we left and we are now 6hrs ahead. So we lost an hour of our vacation.:(
